Welcome to official Australia website.
The time was end of ancient Edo period, and in 1860, the brand TSUJIRI was first established by Riemon Tsuji in Uji in Kyoto, Japan. The founder Riemon tapped his own wealth to improve the then tea industry, advancing and innovating the method to enhance the flavours and sweetness of the tea to accomplish in making the highest quality Gyokuro tea leaves. He also devised the tea cabinet to keep the tea leaves fresh longer, thereby enabled to revive the popularity and marketing of the Uji tea. His effort was well recognized by many and to attest to that, his statute was built in Byodoin, the Kyoto's world heritage temple.
Since then and for more than 150 years, the brand TSUJIRI has kept Riuemon's spirits of "Continue to innovate and sustain the tradition", and has always offered the best Uji tea throughout Japan.
For more than 150 years, TSUJIRI's philosophy of offering the best quality green tea remains the same by painstakingly selecting the best green tea leaves from the renowned harvest of Uji in Kyoto, using the traditional grinding method to bring out the best aroma and flavour.
Since ancient times, the green tea has been known to have soothing effect and health benefits. In recent years, the green tea has also been known as anti-aging and anti-cancerous agents. Green tea is rich in Vitamin A, C, E and Beta carotene. Green tea is one of the best antioxidants, it is rich in Catechin which helps to burn calories, and thereby you can enjoy great nutrients without worrying about the calories.
TSUJIRI"S Philosophy:
"Sado Spririt"
Our philosophy is to spread the spirit of Japanese tea ceremony, Sado (way of tea) culture. The true spirit of Sado - harmony (wa), reverence (kei), purity (sei), tranquility (jaku) -with a sip of green tea and dessert - can bring a calm perspective and a mind of hospitality to a busy daily life.
The Japanese tea ceremony, or Sado, came about when Japan adopted both Chinese practices of drinking powdered green tea (Matcha) along Zen Buddhist beliefs. One of the greatest cultures Zen has brought to Japan was the concept of wabicha. Wabicha is an aesthetic ideal that finds surpassing beauty and deep significance in what is humble or ordinary and appears natural or artless. This conception of beauty as simple and austere is found in poetry, and came to be the main philosophy in the Sado.
The traditional Japanese tea ceremony has evolved to something that is more than just drinking tea. While drinking the tea of Sado, one focuses on contemplating the quietude and pleasure of their spirit.
These days it seems that although technology has improved yet people are living a very hectic life. We wish that TSUJIRI will provide qualitative life-style to the busy modern society all over the world.

Besides its exquisite taste, Matcha is also known to have healthy nutrition features such as being rich in fiber, and yet low in calories.
Having so much to offer, Matcha has gathered attention not only in Japan, but also worldwide.
